The use of chemically synthesized RNA has skyrocketed in recent years. Reasons are an easier accessibility and newly discovered properties. Some, particularly important applications of RNA are:

  • Double-stranded RNA (RNAi) for the targeted inhibition of gene expression
  • Ribozymes for diagnostic and therapeutic applications
  • Aptamers for the specific inhibition of proteins
  • Investigation of tRNA feature
  • Elucidation of the mechanism of protein biosynthesis
  • RNA footprinting for studying protein-RNA interactions
  • Use of RNA as a template in the in vitro translation
  • CRSPR / CAS applications

With us will be used exclusively for quality reasons classically protected blocks (2'-t-butyl-dimethyl-silyl) For the synthesis. By using a specific activator chain lengths can be achieved up to approximately 150 bases, in amounts sufficient for analytical applications. The installation of all modifications and dyes, which are described in the following sections, is possible. After deprotection, purification (not included, see purification) is carried out exclusively by PAGE.HPLC purification, we do not offer, because it is not much cheaper than a PAGE purification because of DEPC treatment of solvents, does not work reliably, and much poorer quality offers. After PAGE purification, the product is desalted on a Sep-Pak ® -Kartusche (not included, see purification) and isolated by EtOH precipitation. Deliveries are made exclusively in lyophilized form.
